Formation
We Recognise the
Heart of God in the
Heart of Life
Marian prides itself on its inclusive and diverse community that welcomes all into living the Marian Way.
Formation is an essential component of Catholic education and Catholic schools.
Formation is visible in our symbols, our practices, our attention to the sacraments and sacramental aspects of life.
It can be discerned in our overall approach-‘how we do things around here’. This includes our emphasis on compassion, understanding, inclusivity and our responses, actions and practices within the school.
A Formation that welcomes all
At Marian Catholic College we place a high value on providing formation opportunities for students and for staff.
Formation Opportunities for Students:
Our students are provided with opportunities from Year 7 to 11 to develop an understanding of the Catholic faith through Liturgies, prayer, weekly Mass, special feast days and participation in school and parish Mass and Meditation with Mary. The parish also offers a Youth Group for students.
Year 12 is a pivotal time in the development of our students as they embark the journey of their final year as a student.
Year 12 students participate in a Formation Camp that provides students with an immersive and reflective experience to prepare themselves for life outside of school.
College Captains are provided leadership and spiritual retreats opportunities
